Theme:	Brazilian historical musicology: integration and systemizing

The 5th Meeting of Historical Musicology will bring together invited and enrolled researchers, who will present, respectively, studies and statements of research. This meeting will be to debate and present results regarding recent trends in integration of knowledge and systemizing of research into Brazilian music production, especially in the 18th and 19th Centuries.

• The committee which will select the statements of research will be composed of the following researchers, who will also present studies at the meeting: André Guerra Cotta (Belo Horizonte), Carlos Alberto Figueiredo (Rio de Janeiro) and Marcelo Hazan (Rio de Janeiro).
  
  
• Those interested in presenting a statement of research should send:
  Title and summary of the statement in no more than 30 lines
  CV of the author in no more than 30 lines
  Enrolment form
  Payment of the R$40,00 enrolment fee

• The organizers will consider only those communications which comply with the norms and deadlines specified herein.
  
  
• The deadline for enrolment is 15th June 2002.
  
  
• It should be remembered that since it is intended to use CD Rom Annals, it will be possible to use images, scores, media files, sound, links to internet pages and other such resources.
  
  
• The final versions of texts will be sent after the 5th Meeting of Historical Musicology has finished.
  
  
• The norms for elaboration of the final versions will be sent to the authors after the close of the 5th Meeting of Historical Musicology.
  
  
• All texts presented will be published in the annals of the event in the form of a CD Rom.
